Plaice Fillet with Spinach Stuffing

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of Plaice Fillet ( Foodpax )
  • Juice from 1 Lemon
  • Salt and White Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp of Butter
  • 1 Onions finely chopped
  • 2 segments of Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 packet 450g Spinach
  • 1 Small Cup of Fresh Cream
  • 1 Tsp of fresh finely chopped Dill
  • 3 Tbsp of Lemon Juice
  • 3 Tbsp of White Dry Wine
  • 1 Tsp of Corn Flour
  • 2 Tbsp of Fresh Cream
  • Salt and White Pepper

Preparation:

  1. Defrost the Plaice Fillet and marinate in lemon juice, salt and pepper
  2. Melt the butter in a pan and sauté the onion, garlic and spinach
  3. Add the fresh cream, salt and pepper and heat on low for two minutes
  4. On each fillet add a table spoon of spinach, wrap the fillets and place them in a non-stick baking-pan which has been lightly oiled
  5. Cover the baking-pan with aluminum foil and place in oven at medium heat for 15 minutes
  6. In another small pan melt some butter and add Dill and Lemon Juice
  7. Mix the Corn Flour with the wine
  8. Finally in the corn flour and wine mixture add dill and lemon juice mixture then the fresh cream, salt and pepper mixture heat on low for two minutes stirring continuously
  9. Pour sauce over the Plaice Fillet and serve
