Ingredients:
- Salt and Pepper
- 1kg Merlouza Fish Fillet ( Foodpax )
- Juice from 1 Lemon
- 2 Tbsp of Virgin Olive Oil
For the batter you will need:
- 1 Glass of beer
- 1½ Cup of Flour
- ½ Cup of Corn Flour
- 1 Tsp of Baking Powder
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tbsp of Vinegar
- ½ Tsp of Sugar
- 1 Tsp of Basil
- 1 Tsp of Dill
- 1 Tsp of Tarragon Leaves
- 1 Tsp of finely chopped Parsley
- Salt & Pepper
Preparation:
- Defrost the fish fillet, cut into portions and marinate in lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper. Cover the bowl and place it in the fridge for two hours.
- Mix in a bowl the flour, corn flour and baking powder
- Add the egg, beer, vinegar, sugar, basil, dill, Tarragon Leaves, parsley, salt and pepper.
- Beat the ingredients until thick batter is formed
- Heat cooking oil in a pan at 170°C
- Dip the fish fillet in the batter and fry until a golden brown color is reached
- Place Fish fillet on kitchen paper towel to absorb excess oil and serve
